Susan Wiltsie is a partner on Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Labor and Employment team. Her 30+ years of experience encompasses representation of management in all aspects of the employer/employee relationship. Her labor/employment practice includes investigation work related to sexual harassment and other misconduct, and compliance assistance and litigation defense related to discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour, family medical leave, disability, reductions in force, defamation, wrongful discharge, covenants not to compete, trade secrets, and plant shutdowns. Her traditional labor work includes union organizing, unfair labor practices, collective bargaining negotiations and labor arbitration. Susan's OSHA practice includes compliance assistance, training, citation defense, participation in rulemaking, appellate administrative litigation, whistleblower cases, creation/oversight of PSM and general OSHA audit programs, and fatality/serious injury accident investigation. During the pandemic, she has drawn on her years of OSHA infectious disease experience to provide COVID-19 advice and defend COVID-19 litigation and OSHA citations across the country. She has been recognized as a “Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal for her COVID-19 legal work and has been an American Lawyer Litigator of the week runner up.

Susan holds a B.A. from the College of William and Mary with a double major in English and Government and a J.D. (cum laude) from Wake Forest University School of Law where she was a Faculty Law Scholar. She is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
